A fight between Belal Muhammad and Dhiego Lima now has a new date, now being placed on UFC 258. The fight sees a new date after a December 19th booking between the two was scrapped due to Muhammad testing positive for COVID-19.
The fight joins a pay-per-view card that is scheduled to happen on February 13th. A location is not known for the event yet.
Muhammad announced his new booking on the “#RememberTheShow” podcast. He reflected on dealing with COVID-19 during the show.
“It took me about four or five days to get over [COVID-19],” said Muhammad, who reported body aches, high body temperature and shivering. “When you get it, it affects you hard.”
Muhammad enters the fight on a three-fight win streak developed from 2019 through 2020. His last win was in June, where he took a decision victory over Lyman Good.
Lima is also on a three-fight win streak, although he hasn’t competed in over a year. He last won in October of 2019, defeating Luke Jumeau in a split decision.
