A strawweight bout has been added to UFC 259, as Livinha Souza and Amanda Lemos have been matched for the card. The bout was first reported by Raphael Marinho of Combate on Friday.
The fight joins a pay-per-view card on March 6th that does not have a location confirmed for it at the moment.
Both strawweights are coming off a win in 2020.
Souza took a decision victory in August, defeating Ashley Yoder at UFC 252. Her previous fight was a 2019 loss to Brianna Van Buren.
Lemos fought just a week after Souza took her win. Lemos picked up a decision win in August, defeating MIZUKI. The fight was Lemos’ second-straight victory, as eight months before she stopped previously-undefeated Miranda Granger with a rear naked choke in the fourth minute of action.
The 115-pound fight joins a stacked card that currently has three championship fights in the lineup. Here are the fights that have been reported for the card so far.
