UFC’s March 27th pay-per-view event lineup has taken a blow as Blagoy Ivanov has withdrawn from a heavyweight bout against Marcin Tybura. 24Chasa announced the news first, reporting that injury took Ivanov out of his matchup.
It is not known at the moment whether Tybura will get a new opponent for his bout. The matchup was set to happen at the UFC APEX in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA.
Ivanov was looking to break a two-fight skid that he has developed over the past two years. His last bout was a split decision loss to Augusto Sakai in May.
Tybura was booked for the fight after a strong 2020 that saw him pick up four consecutive wins. He notched his fourth victory late in the year, defeating Greg Hardy at the promotion’s last event of December.
Heavyweights are still set to compete in the main event of UFC 260, as Stipe Miocic is scheduled to fight Francis Ngannou.
