The first fights have joined a June 19th event that UFC is planning. The location or main event for the card is not known at the moment.
Matt Brown vs. Dhiego Lima
UFC veteran Matt Brown will face Dhiego Lima at UFC’s June 19th event. Per a report from Guilherme Cruz and Damon Martin of MMA Fighting, the bout is the first to join a card on that date.
Lima will be returning after having his losing streak stopped early in the year. Lima last competed in February, where he lost a unanimous decision to Belal Muhammad.
The fight was Lima’s first in over a year. He entered the bout on a three-fight win streak that included a first-round stoppage victory against Chad Laprise.
Brown will be looking to avoid slipping into a three-fight skid. He has been unsuccessful in his last two fights, losing a decision to Carlos Condit in January and being finished by Miguel Baeza in a fight last year.
Kanako Murata vs. Virna Jandiroba
Returning after a successful UFC debut last year, Kanako Murata will face Virna Jandiroba in June. Marcelo Barone of Combate reported the fight first.
Murata made her first UFC appearance in November, controlling Randa Markos to win a unanimous decision. The former Invicta FC Strawweight Champion was entering the promotion following a 12-fight run on the regional scene.
