Walt Harris will attempt to break a losing streak when matched against Marcin Tybura at UFC’s June 5th event. The heavyweight matchup was first confirmed by Guilherme Cruz and Mike Heck of MMA Fighting.
The three-round fight is the first to be reported for a June 5th UFC card. The location for the event is not known at the moment.
Harris will be in the search for his first victory since 2019. The 37-year-old will be coming back after a rough 2020 that resulted in two losses. His last fight was in October, where Alexander Volkov stopped him in the second round with strikes.
Harris’ previous fight was a main event loss to Alistair Overeem. The May bout was an emotional appearance for Harris, as it was his first fight back since his stepdaughter Aniah Blanchard passed away.
Tybura will be entering the cage looking for his fifth consecutive win. Tybura was one of the UFC’s most successful competitors in 2020, picking up four wins in within a 10-month period.
Tybura finished his year strong in December, picking up a finish victory against Greg Hardy.
Tybura was scheduled to fight Blagoy Ivanov in late March, although that fight was later scrapped.
