Injury Takes Mayra Bueno Silva Out of May 1st Bout Against Poliana Botelho

UFC’s May 1st card has lost a bout, as injury has forced Mayra Bueno Silva out of a bout against Poliana Botelho. A back issue took Bueno Silva out of the bout, as first reported by Guilherme Cruz of MMA Fighting.

The fight was scheduled to take place at a UFC “Fight Night” card that does not have a confirmed location at the moment.

Bueno Silva was looking to return after fighting to a draw against Montana De La Rosa in February.

It is not known if Botelho will get a new opponent, although a recent social media update from the fighter says the promotion is currently in search for a new person.

Botelho’s last fight was a unanimous decision loss to Gillian Robertson.

UFC’s May 1st card is currently scheduled to be headlined by light heavyweights Dominick Reyes and Jiri Prochazka.
