Sha Yilan To Make UFC Debut Against Joshua Culibao At May 22nd Event

Experienced Chinese MMA talent Sha Yilan will make his UFC debut against Joshua Culibao at the promotion’s May 22nd event, per a report from Guilherme Cruz and Mike Heck of MMA Fighting.

The fight joins a card that does not have a confirmed location at the moment.

Sha enters the fight with a pro record of 19 wins and six losses. He picked up two consecutive wins in the final couple of months in 2020, making his record over the past two years seven wins and one loss.

Despite Sha’s record looking like one of a fighter with nearly a decade of experience, he has only been competing since 2016.

He now fights Culibao, who will be looking for his first UFC win since joining the promotion in early 2020. Culibao’s two previous appearances in the promotion have resulted in a loss and a draw.

Culibao was undefeated with eight pro wins before making his UFC debut.
