UFC is giving a fight between Bill Algeo and Ricardo Ramos another shot, placing it on their May 22nd “Fight Night” card, per a report from Nolan King and Farah Hannoun of MMA Junkie.
The fight joins a UFC lineup that does not have a confirmed location at the moment.
The booking is the second time the UFC has attempted a fight between Algeo and Ramos. The duo was first meant to fight at UFC’s April 17th card, although COVID-19 protocol forced Ramos out of the lineup. Now the featherweights will get another chance to compete just shortly after when their first booking was set.
Algeo picked up his first UFC victory in his last showing, fighting to a decision victory over Spike Carlyle in November. His first UFC appearance was just three months before then, where he lost a fight to Ricardo Lamas.
Ramos’ fight in May will see him attempt to bounce back from a stoppage loss that he suffered last summer to Lerone Murphy. The defeat for Ramos snapped a two-fight win streak that he put together in 2019.
