Two new matchups have been recently reported for UFC’s July 24th event. The fights join a lineup that does not have a confirmed location currently.
Finishers Yanez and Costa Paired For July
Explosive bantamweights Adrian Yanez and Randy Costa will compete in July, as first reported by Nolan King of MMA Junkie.
Yanez has only been part of the UFC roster since August when he defeated Brady Huang on “Dana White’s Contender Series,” but he has been scoring big wins since then.
While Costa hasn’t been as active as Yanez recently, he also holds a resume of quick finishes. His last fight lasted only 41 seconds, as he stopped Journey Newson with strikes in September.
Gall To Return From 2020 Loss Against Williams
Mickey Gall will fight for the first time in a year when facing Jordan Williams, per a report from Mike Heck of MMA Fighting. The matchup sees both fighters return after a recent loss.
Gall last fought in June of 2020, where UFC veteran Mike Perry scored a decision victory against him. Gall’s last win was when he fought Salim Touahri in 2019.
Williams lost his UFC debut in October, fighting to a decision against Nassourdine Imavov. The bout came just a month after he defeated Gregory Rodrigues on “Dana White’s Contender Series” to earn a UFC contract.
The fight in July will see Williams return to welterweight after competing at middleweight for his last seven fights.
