Both attempting to bounce back after losing in their last appearance, Andre Ewell and Julio Arce are expected to be paired for UFC’s July 24th event. News of the bantamweight matchup was first reported by Mike Heck and Damon Martin of MMA Fighting.
The bout joins a lineup that does not have a confirmed location at the moment.
Ewell lost in his last appearance, as Chris Gutierrez took a unanimous decision win over him at UFC 258. The fight stopped the momentum that Ewell built in 2020, where he defeated Irwin Rivera and Jonathan Martinez.
The fight in July will be Arce’s return to action after over a year outside of the cage. His last fight dates back to November of 2019, where Hakeem Dawodu scored a split decision win over him.
It was reported earlier in the year that Arce would face Timur Valiev at a February UFC card, although he eventually withdrew from that matchup.
