Flyweight Ryan Benoit has been re-booked to face Zarrukh Adashev for UFC’s July 31st “Fight Night” card, per a report from Nolan King and John Morgan of MMA Junkie.
The new fight joins a show that is expected to take place at the UFC APEX in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA.
Benoit was first set to face Adashev in May, although he was pulled from the fight a day before the event. The move to cancel his fight came after he had a scary appearance at the weigh-ins for the event, missing weight once and visibly shaking while on the scale.
Adashev was set to face promotional newcomer Juancamilo Ronderos on July 31st, although that fight has since been scrapped.
Both fighters are competing to snap losing streaks.
Benoit has lost decisions in his last two appearances, losing to Alateng Heili and Tim Elliott.
The new flyweight fight joins a UFC card that is set to be headlined by middleweights Uriah Hall and Sean Strickland. Here is how the show looks now.
