A flyweight clash between Molly McCann and Kim Ji-yeon has been rescheduled to UFC’s September 4th event. The bout was originally set to take place on August 14th but was moved ahead due to undisclosed reasons.
UFC announced the change earlier this week. The fight joins a card that is expected to happen in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA.
By the time the fight will roll around, Kim will have been out of competition for a year. Her appearance will see her attempt to bounce back from a decision loss she took against Alexa Grasso last year.
Kim has won and lost three bouts each since joining the UFC roster in 2017.
McCann will be fighting to avoid falling into a three-fight losing streak. She has lost her two previous bouts, not being picked on scorecards against Taila Santos and Lara Procopio.
Middleweights Derek Brunson and Darren Till are the current projected main event for UFC’s September 4th card. Here is how the lineup looks currently:
Bout 9: Derek Brunson (22-7) vs. Darren Till (18-3-1) (Middleweight)
