ONE Championship is scheduled to hold three title fights at their September 24th card: “Revolution.” The location for the event and whether the show will be live or not is unknown at the moment.
170-Pound Champ Lee Returns Against Ok
Rising talent Ok Rae Yoon will get a title fight against 170-pound MMA champ Christian Lee in just his third fight for the promotion.
Ok made his ONE debut earlier this year with a unanimous decision victory over Matar Gafurov. He followed that up shortly after with a high-profile win against former UFC Champion Eddie Alvarez.
Ok was entering ONE after six years as a pro on the regional scene in South Korea.
Lee will be looking to continue his dominance in the 170-pound division. The finish-heavy champ has defended his belt twice since regaining it in 2019.
He needed just over a minute in his last fight, stopping Timofey Nastyukhin with strikes in April.
Capitan To Defend ONE Belt For First Time
145-pound Muay Thai champion Capitan Petchyindee Academy will look to defend his belt for the first time when meeting Mehdi Zatout in September.
Capitan returned to ONE early this year to stop Alaverdi Ramazanov and become the new champion. He had made his ONE debut in September of last year, defeating Petchtanong Bancahmek. It was part of a long win streak that included appearances in Lumpinee Stadium and Rangsit Stadium as well.
Zatout, a ONE fighter since 2018, is getting his first title fight after two consecutive wins in the promotion. Both of his wins came via decision last year, defeating Han Zi Hao and Leo Pinto.
Trilogy Bout Set Between Pacio and Saruta
The trilogy fight between ONE 125-pound champ Joshua Pacio and Yosuke Saruta will also take place on the card.
Pacio and Saruta fought twice in 2019. Saruta defeated Pacio in their first meeting, defeating him via split decision to take the ONE belt. Just three months later, Pacio avenged the loss with a fourth-round stoppage victory.
Pacio, a two-time champion in ONE’s 125-pound weight class, has been inactive since early 2020. He defended his belt for the second time in his last appearance, fighting to a close split decision victory over Alex Silva.
Pacio has fought on ONE’s roster since 2016 and has racked up 10 wins through 13 appearances.
Saruta is back into the title picture after two wins recently. He last competed in September, defeating Yoshitaka Naito on a “Road to ONE” card in Japan.
