UFC veteran Alexander Gustafsson has withdrawn from his September 4th fight against Paul Craig after suffering an injury, per Mike Bohn and Nolan King of MMA Junkie.
The fight was set to happen on a “Fight Night” card that doesn’t have a confirmed location at the moment.
It is not known currently if Craig will get a new opponent for the card. In his next appearance, he will be looking to extend his winning streak to four consecutive. He has finished his past three opponents, including recent rival Jamahal Hill.
Gustafsson was looking to break a three-fight losing streak when fighting Craig. The 34-year-old has been winless since 2018, with recent losses to Fabricio Werdum, Anthony Smith and Jon Jones.
Middleweights Derek Brunson and Darren Till are expected to headline UFC’s September 4th event.
