LFA Bantamweight Champion Zviad Lazishvili will get his long-awaited major promotion call-up on September 4th, as he will step in on short notice to face Jake Shore at a UFC “Fight Night” card.
Lazishvili will be replacing Said Nurmagomedov, who was previously scheduled to face Shore. News of the new matchup was first reported by Giorgi Kokiashvili of Adjarasport.
The fight joins a card that is scheduled to take place at the UFC APEX in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA.
The new booking between Lazishvili and Shore sets up a clash of two undefeated bantamweights.
Lazishvili has attained an impressive flawless record of 12 wins since turning pro back in 2011. He has proven himself in LFA as of late, submitting Ricky Steele to become their 135-pound champ in September.
Shore, a former Cage Warriors Bantamweight Champion, has won 14 straight in his career. He had a successful rookie year in the UFC, submitting Aaron Phillips and fighting to a split decision over Hunter Azure.
