Rising Middleweights Dricus Du Plessis and Andre Muniz Paired For UFC 269

Winning streaks will be on the line at UFC’s December 11th pay-per-view event, as rising middleweights Dricus Du Plessis and Andre Muniz will collide. The new matchup for UFC 269 was first reported by Brett Okamoto of ESPN.

The fight joins a quickly growing card that does not have a confirmed location at the moment.

Both Muniz and Du Plessis have yet to lose since joining the UFC roster.

Muniz entered the promotion after a win on “Dana White’s Contender Series” in 2019. He has since scored threw wins, including first-round armbar submissions against Bartosz Fabinski and Jacare Souza.

Du Plessis has shown his quick fists in the UFC cage, stopping two opponents over the past year.

The former KSW Welterweight Champion took his UFC debut on short notice, stepping in and stopping Markus Perez within a round with strikes in October.

Du Plessis returned in July to score a finish win over Trevin Giles at UFC 264.

UFC is reportedly looking to book lightweight champ Charles Oliveira against Dustin Poirier. While that bout hasn’t been finalized, a bout between UFC Bantamweight Champion Amanda Nunes and challenger Julianna Pena has.

Bout 3: Maycee Barber (9-2) vs. Montana De La Rosa (12-6-1) (Flyweight)

Bout 2: Randy Costa (6-2) vs. Tony Kelley (7-2) (Bantamweight)

Bout 1: Dricus Du Plessis (16-2) vs. Andre Muniz (21-4) (Middleweight)
