Brandon Davis will get his second shot at competing in the UFC later this month, facing Danaa Batgerel in a bantamweight fight at the promotion’s October 16th show. News of the new matchup was first reported by Nolan King and Farah Hannoun of MMA Junkie.
The matchup joins a card that will take place at the UFC APEX in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA.
Davis fought in the UFC from 2018 to 2019, departing the roster after a seven-fight run that resulted in two wins and five losses. He is getting a second shot at the promotion after an undefeated four-fight campaign in Mississippi-based regional promotion Gulf Coast MMA.
He will face Batgerel, who is currently has a fair amount of momentum in the promotion. He has scored first-round finish wins in his last two appearances. He most recently fought in April, stopping Kevin Natividad in the first minute with strikes.
A featherweight fight between Holly Holm and Norma Dumont is currently set to headline UFC’s October 16th card. Here is how the show looks currently.
