Recent bookings in the UFC featherweight division have been shifted around. Gavin Tucker has reportedly withdrawn from his November 20th fight against Pat Sabatini – replacing him will be Tucker Lutz, who is reportedly departing from a fight against Lando Vannata that was set to happen a week earlier.
The change, with affects four fighters at 145-pounds, was first reported by Nolan King and John Morgan of MMA Junkie. The new fight between Sabatini and Lutz is expected to take place at the UFC APEX in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA.
It is not known at the moment why Tucker withdrew from his November booking. He had a three-fight losing streak snapped earlier this year, as Dan Ige scored a 22-second knockout over him in March.
Another unknown at the moment is whether Lando Vannata will get a new opponent for the promotion’s November 13th event. He was aiming to score his second UFC win within a calendar year – an achievement he has yet to attain.
Now with a new opponent, Sabatini has the chance to score his third win as a UFC rookie. The two-time CFFC Featherweight Champion has been active since joining the UFC roster this year, defeating Tristan Connelly on scorecards and submitting Jamall Emmers within a round via heel hook.
Lutz is riding the momentum of a successful UFC debut, which came against Kevin Aguilar in May.
