Charismatic lightweight Paddy Pimblett will make his return at UFC’s March 19th event in a fight against Kazula Vargas. The fight was first reported by MMA Fight Club and was later confirmed by Cole Shelton of BJPenn.com.
The fight joins what is expected to be UFC’s return to The O2 Arena in London, England. The event will be the promotion’s first appearance in the country in three years.
Pimblett won his UFC debut in September, scoring a hectic first-round finish win over Luigi Vendramini. The performance caught the eyes of many, as it highlighted his wild fighting style and engaging personality. He was making his long-awaited UFC debut after an extensive run in regional promotion Cage Warriors.
Vargas earned his first UFC victory last year, defeating Rongzhu via unanimous decision. This win broke a two-fight skid that he previously had in the promotion.
