A fight between Maycee Barber and Montana De La Rosa is back on the schedule. The fight is now expected to take place at UFC’s April 23rd show, per Nolan King of MMA Junkie.
The flyweight bout joins a “Fight Night” card that doesn’t have a confirmed location at the moment.
Barber and De La Rosa were first booked to meet in December 2021, although an injury later took De La Rosa out of that appearance.
Barber took a win in her last appearance, defeating Miranda Maverick via split decision. This victory broke a two-fight skid for Barber and was her first time winning since her undefeated record was broken in early 2020.
De La Rosa is also coming off a win, having stopped Ariane Lipski with strikes in a June 2021 fight. That fight marked her first win since 2019, as previous results were a draw and a loss.
UFC’s April 23rd card doesn’t have a main event booked for it yet. Here is how the show looks at this moment:
Bout 4: Clay Guida (37-21) vs. Claudio Puelles (11-2) (Lightweight)
Bout 3: Dean Barry (4-1) vs. Mike Jackson (0-1) (Welterweight)
Bout 2: Amanda Lemos (11-1-1) vs. Jessica Andrade (22-9) (Flyweight)
Bout 1: Maycee Barber (9-2) vs. Montana De La Rosa (12-6-1) (Flyweight)
