Sumudaerji vs. Manel Kape Booked For April 23rd UFC Card

Flyweights Sumudaerji and Manel Kape are expected to meet at UFC’s April 23rd card. The fight, which is joining a UFC event that doesn’t have a confirmed location currently, was announced by both fighters via social media recently.

Kape is fighting Sumudaerji after a busy rookie year in the UFC.

Kape had a rough start to 2021, losing on scorecards to Alexandre Pantoja and Matheus Nicolau. But he turned things around in the second half of the year, picking up two first-round finish victories.

His first win came at UFC 265, where he stopped Ode Osbourne with a flying knee. In December, Kape finished Zhalgas Zhumagulov with punches for his second victory.

Sumudaerji is currently on a strong three-fight winning streak that he has slowly built up in recent years. His most recent win was in January 2021, where he beat Zarrukh Adashev via decision.
