Two new matchups have recently joined UFC’s March 26th card. The new fights are scheduled to take place at the Nationwide Arena in Columbus, Ohio, USA.
Borshchev vs. Diakiese Lightweight Bout Booked
Riding the momentum of a successful UFC debut, Viacheslav Borshchev will face Marc Diakiese next month, per John Morgan and Farah Hannoun of MMA Junkie.
Borshchev scored a first-round stoppage win for his UFC debut last month, defeating Dakota Bush with punches. This victory came just three months after he scored a finish win over Chris Duncan on “Dana White’s Contender Series” to earn a UFC contract.
Diakiese will be looking for his first win since 2019. He has taken two consecutive losses in recent years, losing a decision to Rafael Fiziev and getting submitted by Rafael Alves.
Souza Searching For First UFC Win Against Saldana
Former LFA Featherweight Champion Bruno Souza will search for his first UFC win when facing Luis Saldana on this card. The fight was first announced by Souza’s management team, then was later confirmed by Jay Anderson of Cageside Press.
Souza had an unsuccessful UFC debut in November, being on the losing side of a decision to Melsik Baghdasaryan. This defeat snapped a 10-fight winning streak that Souza had developed on the regional scene.
Saldana has won and lost a fight since joining the UFC roster. His most recent appearance saw him drop a unanimous decision result to Austin Lingo. Four months before then, he beat Jordan Griffin.

UFC’s March 26th card is currently without a main event, as news broke recently that Jan Blachowicz had to withdraw from his fight against Aleksandar Rakic. Here are the fights that have been announced for the show thus far:
