Albert Duraev will get the chance to earn his second UFC victory later this year, facing Anthony Hernandez at the promotion’s April 9th pay-per-view event.
The new UFC 273 fight was first reported by Farah Hannoun of MMA Junkie. The matchup joins a card that doesn’t have a location at the moment.
Duraev had a strong UFC debut in October, defeating Roman Kopylov via unanimous decision. This came just one month after his “Dana White’s Contender Series” victory, which saw him submit Caio Bittencourt via neck crank.
Duraev heads into his next appearance on a 10-fight streak of wins.
Hernandez scored an upset win in his last fight, handing Rodolfo Vieira his first loss with a second-round guillotine choke submission. He has struggled to get a fight since then, as two different bookings fell through for him in 2021.
