Undefeated welterweight AJ Fletcher is expected to make his UFC debut next month, facing Matthew Semelsberger at the promotion’s March 12th card.
The matchup was confirmed by the promotion recently. The fight is expected to take place at the UFC APEX in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA.
Fletcher earned his UFC contract on the last season of “Dana White’s Contender Series,” scoring a first-round flying knee stoppage win over Leonardo Damiani.
Fletcher will enter his debut UFC fight with a flawless pro record of nine wins, a record he has quickly attained since his 2019 debut.
Semelsberger will be a big challenge for Fletcher, as his UFC run has been successful thus far. Through four fights with the promotion, Semelsberger has won three of them.
Semelsberger won somewhat of a mismatch in his most recent appearance, stopping UFC newcomer Martin Sano in just 15 seconds last year.
