Undefeated Umar Nurmagomedov will return for his second UFC fight next month, challenging Brian Kelleher in a three-round bout at bantamweight. The fight has joined UFC 272 on March 5th, per Brett Okamoto of ESPN.
The fight is joining a card that is scheduled to take place at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA.
Nurmagomedov won his UFC debut in early 2021, securing a rear naked choke submission victory over Sergey Morozov. This was his 13th win since turning pro in 2016.
Nurmagomedov was reportedly previously scheduled to face Jack Shore later in the month.
Kelleher, a 13-fight UFC vet, will provide a tough test for Nurmagomedov in his second fight.
Kelleher is currently on a two-fight winning streak, having beat Domingo Pilarte and Kevin Croom in recent months. A win next month would earn Kelleher his first three-fight winning streak in the promotion.
