Glover Teixeira vs. Jiri Prochazka Moved To June PPV Card

Glover Teixeira’s first appearance as champion is going to happen a little later than expected. The UFC Light Heavyweight Champion’s fight against Jiri Prochazka has been moved from UFC 274 to UFC 275, per reports.

The fight was originally scheduled to happen on May 7th. The date for UFC 275 is not known at the moment, although it is reportedly expected to happen sometime in June.

News of the change was first revealed by Teixeira in an interview with Combate. The change has also been confirmed by Damon Martin of MMA Fighting.

The reason for the change is not known at the moment.

Teixeira became champ in October 2021, scoring an upset submission win over Jan Blachowicz.

Prochazka’s upcoming title challenge comes after scoring two stoppage wins in the UFC. His last victory was a main event knockout win over former title challenger Dominick Reyes.

UFC 274 still has a lightweight title fight between Charles Oliveira and Justin Gaethje set for the show.
