David Onama To Face Nate Landwehr At March 26th UFC Event

UFC rookie David Onama has stepped in to take a short-notice fight against Nate Landwehr at the promotion’s March 26th card.

Onama will be replacing Lerone Murphy in the featherweight booking, per a report from Mike Heck of MMA Fighting. The matchup is part of the promotion’s event at the Nationwide Arena in Columbus, Ohio, USA.

Onama scored his first UFC win just last month, securing a first-round finish win over veteran Gabriel Benitez.

The 27-year-old lost his UFC debut just a few months prior, losing a short-notice fight to Mason Jones via unanimous decision.

Landwehr will provide a tough test for Onama. The experienced fighter returned to the win column in October 2021, earning a submission win over Ludovit Klein. The fight was his second win since joining the UFC in 2020.

It is unknown why Murphy withdrew from his fight against Landwehr. The matchup gave the undefeated prospect a chance to score his fourth consecutive UFC victory.
