Two more matchups have recently been confirmed for UFC’s April 30th show. The fights are joining a card that doesn’t have a confirmed location at the moment.
Meerschaert, Jotko To Meet At Middleweight
High-level middleweights Gerald Meerschaert and Krzysztof Jotko are expected to meet next month, per Nolan King of MMA Junkie.
Meerschaert is coming off an incredibly successful 2021 that saw him score three submission victories. This included his most recent win, a rear naked choke victory over Dustin Stoltzfus in December 2021.
Meerschaert will have a chance to keep that momentum rolling in 2022 when facing Jotko.
Jotko won his last fight, securing a split decision over Misha Cirkunov in October 2021. This turned things around for him after dropping a decision to Sean Strickland earlier in the year.
Heavyweights Collier And Tafa Matched
Heavyweights Jake Collier and Justin Tafa are expected to fight on April 30th as well. News of the fight was first confirmed by Marcel Dorff of Eurosport Netherlands last week.
Collier scored his first finish win at heavyweight earlier this year, earning a first-round rear naked choke submission against Chase Sherman. This moved his heavyweight record to an even two wins and two losses.
Tafa had a rough start to his 2021, suffering two consecutive losses. However, he turned things around in December with a first-round finish victory against Harry Hunsucker.
