Rising featherweight Jonathan Pearce will look to extend his winning streak when he faces Makwan Amirkhani at UFC’s July 23rd show. News of the pairing was confirmed Monday by Farah Hannoun of MMA Junkie.
The fight is scheduled to be part of the promotion’s second appearance this year at the O2 Arena in London, England.
Pearce has strung together a three-fight winning streak since late 2020. His most recent win came in February when he beat short-notice opponent Christian Rodriguez via unanimous decision.
Amirkhani’s last victory potentially kept his UFC career alive. He put an end to a three-fight skid in March, submitting Mike Grundy in just 57 seconds with an anaconda choke.
