Veteran Brian Kelleher could return as soon as June 25th. UFC is aiming to book him against Mario Bautista for an upcoming “Fight Night” show, per a report from MMA Junkie.
If the fight can be made official, it will join a show that is set to take place at the UFC APEX in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA.
Kelleher, known for his activity as a fighter, has already competed twice this year. He opened 2022 with a victory, defeating Kevin Croom via decision in January.
Kelleher is now coming off a loss that he suffered against Umar Nurmagomedov in March.
Bautista scored a decision win earlier this year, overcoming short-notice opponent Jay Perrin in a unanimous decision result. The fight moved his UFC record to three wins and two losses.
