Flyweights Malcolm Gordon and Allan Nascimento are expected to collide at UFC’s August 13th event, per a report from Nolan King and Farah Hannoun of MMA Junkie.
The fight is joining a card that doesn’t have a confirmed location at the moment.
Gordon has turned around his UFC run over the past year. While he started his promotional run with two first-round finish losses, he has bounced back as of late with a pair of victories.
His last fight came in a somewhat anti-climactic fashion, as an arm injury to opponent Denys Bondar forced their bout to end in the second minute.
Nascimento scored his first UFC win just last month, defeating UFC newcomer Jake Hadley via unanimous decision.
UFC is currently aiming to pair up former champion Dominick Cruz and Marlon Vera for the main event of their August 13th show. Here is how the show looks currently:
Bout 4: Marlon Vera (21-7-1) vs. Dominick Cruz (24-3) (Bantamweight)
Bout 3: Devin Clark (13-6) vs. Azamat Murzakanov (11-0) (Light Heavyweight)
Bout 2: Gerald Meerschaert (34-15) vs. Bruno Silva (22-7) (Middleweight)
Bout 2: Alexa Grasso (14-3) vs. Vivane Araujo (11-3) (Flyweight)
