A previously scrapped plan for Manon Fiorot has seemingly re-emerged.
The rising flyweight is once expected to face Katlyn Chookagian, meeting the former title challenger at UFC’s October 22nd pay-per-view event.
The fight will take place at UFC 280 at the Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi, per a report from RMC Sport Combat.
Fiorot was first scheduled to face Chookagian at UFC’s September 3rd card in Paris, France. However, plans for that fight dissolved after Chookagian was pulled from the card.
Fiorot was then set to face former champion Jessica Andrade in September. That fight has also reportedly been thrown out, and Fiorot has been booked against Chookagian for the second time.
With plans changed once again, Fiorot is still focused on keeping her run alive. She has yet to lose since joining the UFC roster in early 2021, having scored four consecutive wins.
Fiorot’s last victory came against experienced talent Jennifer Maia, beating her via unanimous decision.
Chookagian, a much more experienced UFC fighter, is also on a four-fight run of wins. Her last win came against former strawweight Amanda Ribas, who she beat via split decision in May.
UFC 280 currently has two title fights and numerous high-profile bouts set for it. Here is how the show looks currently:
