Reyes and Blachowicz To Battle For Vacant Light Heavyweight Belt At UFC 253

UFC 253 is now a two-title fight pay-per-view, as the vacant UFC Light Heavyweight Championship will be up for grabs between Dominick Reyes and Jan Blachowicz. The booking comes days after former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Jon Jones vacated his belt.

Reyes last competed in February, where he lost a title shot to Jones. The controversial fight saw Jones win via decision, although many argued that Reyes could have won instead. Prior to the loss, Reyes had six-straight wins in the UFC.

Blachowicz has been given a title shot following a hot streak in the division, winning his last three. The most recent of his three was his biggest, stopping Corey “Overtime” Anderson in the first round with punches.
