ONE Championship: No Surrender 3 Live Coverage

On Friday morning, ONE Championship will hold their third and final event in the “No Surrender” trilogy. From the Impact Arena in Bangkok, Thailand, the Singapore-based MMA promotion will present a six-fight card.

In the main event, the promotion will find the other finalist in their 145-pound Muay Thai bracket. Between Sangmanee Klong Suanpluresort and Kulabdam Sor. Jor. Piek Uthai, the winner will move on to face last week’s winner, Saemapetch Fairtex.

Kulabdam Stops Sangmanee Early

Moving on in the ONE 145-pound Muay Thai tournament, Kulabdam Sor. Jor Piek Uthai stopped Sangmanee Klong Suanpluresort in the third minute with a left hand.

Kulabdam dropped Sangmanee in the third minute, with the fight being ended by the referee before a 10-count was given.

Sangmanee was not present for the post-fight decision.

The first round of ONE’s Bantamweight World Championship tournament kicked off last week, with Saemapetch Fairtex defeating Rodlek PK.Saenchaimuaythaigym to move on.

Bout 5: Mongkolpetch Petchyindee Academy vs. Sok Thy (135 lbs) (Muay Thai Bout)

Mongkolpetch Gets Second ONE Win

The co-main event of the evening saw Mongkolpetch Petchyindee Academy pick up a decision victory over Sok Thy. The fight saw Mongkolpetch out-strike Thy throughout the three rounds.

The win was Mongkolpetch’s second in ONE, as he previously won over Joseph Lasiri last September.

Thy lost his two appearances in ONE before, with the most recent of the two appearances being against Rodtang Jitmuangnon in 2019.

Bout 4: Shannon Wiratchai (9-6) vs. Fabio Pinca (0-0) (155 lbs) (MMA Bout)

Wiratchai Ends Four-Fight Skid

Snapping a four-fight losing streak, Shannon Wiratchai earned a decision victory over Fabio Pinca. The fight, which was mostly striking, saw Wiratchai have his moments with punches.

Wiratchai scored a knockdown in the second round, dropping Pinca with a spinning backfist.

Wiratchai’s losing streak dated back to 2018, with his last win being over Rahul Raju. The most recent of the four losses before was from February, losing to Honorio Banario.

The fight was the MMA debut of Pinca, who had experience in Muay Thai and kickboxing before.

Bout 3: Wondergirl Fairtex vs. Brooke Farrell (125 lbs) (Muay Thai Bout)

Wondergirl Has Impressive ONE Debut

A dominant ONE debut went to Wondergirl Fairtex, who stopped Brooke Farrell in the first round of Muay Thain action. The fight ended after Wondergirl scored her second knockdown on Farrell due to punches.

The fight was the ONE debut for both fighters.

Bout 2: Marie Ruumet vs. Little Tiger (115 lbs) (Muay Thai Bout)

Ruumet Wins ONE Muay Thai Debut

Winning in her ONE debut, Marie Ruumet took a decision victory over Ayaka Miyauchi, also known as “Little Tiger.” The win saw Ruumet out-strike Tiger for three rounds.

Both fighters competed on ONE’s feeder series the “Warrior Series” before, both losing via decision in their respective bouts.

Bout 1: Ben Royle (4-1) vs. Quitin Thomas (1-0) (155 lbs) (MMA Bout)

Royle Wins First ONE Bout

British MMA fighter Ben Royle won his first ONE MMA fight on Friday, stopping Quitin Thomas with strikes in the third round. The stoppage came after a knockdown with punches.

The win saw Royle out-strike Thomas for three rounds, as the fight stayed on the feet up until the stoppage.

Royle’s strongest round was the second, where he was able to hurt Thomas with leg kicks, nearly dropping the rookie.

Before his ONE debut, Royle had four MMA wins in other promotions since his 2017 pro debut.

Still in his rookie year of pro MMA, Thomas made his debut last January, defeating Chitnuphong Sommuttiram on a card in Thailand.
