Austin Hubbard has received a new opponent for UFC’s April 17th card, now facing Dakota Bush in a lightweight bout. News of the new matchup was first reported by Mike Heck of MMA Fighting.
The bout joins a UFC “Fight Night” lineup that is set to happen at the UFC APEX in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA.
Hubbard’s original opponent, Natan Levy, had to withdraw from their fight earlier in the week due to injury.
The short-notice appearance for Bush will be his first time fighting for the UFC.
Bush gets the call-up after having a seven-fight run in notable regional promotion LFA. He won his two most recent fights via stoppage, defeating Brian Del Rosario and Austin Clem within a round each.
Now with a new opponent in place, Hubbard will look to bounce back from a submission loss he took to Joe Solecki last year.
The addition of a matchup between Hubbard and Bush pushes UFC’s April 17th card back up to 13 bouts in total. Middleweights Robert Whittaker and Kelvin Gastelum are currently set to fight in the main event of the card.
Here is the updated lineup.
