Ricky Turcios Advances To Finals of ‘The Ultimate Fighter’ With Overtime Win Against Liudvik Sholinian

Ricky Turcios punched his ticket to the grand finals of “The Ultimate Fighter” on Tuesday’s episode with a victory over Liudvik Sholinian. Turcios secured his spot as a bantamweight finalist after three rounds of action, needing an overtime round before walking away with a unanimous decision win.

Turcios’s win came through a scrappy, three-round battle against Sholinian. Turcios mostly shined on the feet, where he was able to land impactful punches to the head and kicks to the legs.

Turcios has needed overtime round in both of his fights on “TUF” this season. He scored his first win on an episode earlier this month, defeating Dan Argueta on scorecards.

Sholinian’s first-round win aired in early June, where he made a comeback to defeat Mitch Raposo on scorecards.

It is not known yet who Turcios will meet in the live finals of the show. The two other bantamweight semi-finalists are Vincent Murdock and Brady Hiestand, who are expected to meet on an episode sometime in the next three weeks.
