The UFC debut of Abusupiyan Magomedov has been scheduled once again. The former PFL fighter is expected to face Makhmud Muradov at UFC’s September 3rd show at the Accor Arena in Paris, France.
Magomedov has been looking to make his UFC debut since late 2021. He has been booked on two previous cards for the promotion, although both matchups fell through before the date of the event.
Magomedov’s last fight was in late 2020 when he beat Cezary Kesik at KSW 57.
Magomedov notably competed in PFL’s 2018 season. He was a grand finalist in their middleweight tournament, losing in the end against Louis Taylor.
The booking gives Muradov a chance to bounce back from his sole UFC loss. He took that defeat in August 2021, when he suffered a second-round submission stoppage against Gerald Meerschaert.
Prior to that loss, Muradov attained a trio of victories in the UFC from 2019 to 2021.
UFC’s debut in Paris does not have a confirmed main event yet. The sole other confirmed fight for the show thus far is a flyweight bout between Katlyn Chookagian and Manon Fiorot.
